Developers have one single goal in mind, and that is to make the broken idea work properly. However, what happens when, to make something work, you need to see it in action? That when you move to the artists, the animators, modelers, and everyone else, to give you a world to fix. So what happens if a developer learns to create their own models, their own animations, and so on? With this newfound ability the developer could create their own worlds, and with these worlds find new things to not only break, but to fix, as well. This is exactly what I am trying to accomplish. With the excitement of building a tower defense game, I decided to learn more about the artistic side, and learn to do my own modelling. This is where I am at so far!

Learning how to properly UV Unwrap was a nightmare, until I found a simple solution to the colors not showing in the Preview Window. Holding Z and pressing 2 changed the view to Material Preview, allowing the UV Mapping to show. The model, however, is a different story. The process is quite simple, and in time I’m sure I will learn more tricks to make things better, but I was able to quickly make a simple version of the TARDIS’s front doors! Next I need to start working on objects for my Tower Defense game!
